THE FAVOUR LANE (2) EXODUS 11:1-3

And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians.
Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants and on the sight of the people. (Ex.11:3)

Favour opens unusual doors, releasing the hidden treasures of grace and hidden riches of the secret places. The Isrealites had served under bondage for so many years. They labored but had nothing to show for their labors. It was time for them to go back to their own land and God decided that they will not go empty handed. The Hand of the Lord placed them on the favour lane and poured the oil of favour upon their heads. The Egyptians knew that the Isrealites were returning to their own land never to return again, yet they were willing to part with their precious ornaments of gold and silver to beautify their strangers.

When you are walking on the favour lane, people prefer you to themselves, they are willing to make you happy even if it will be to their own detriment. Favour terminates unproductive labour. The harvest of one day of favour is greater than ten years of labour. In as much as i believe and teach people to work hard, i want to make it emphatically clear that it is the oil of favour in your life that projects your labour and makes your efforts acceptable and rewarding. If you want to know the weight of the silver and gold that the people of Israel collected from Egyptians, read the account of their donation towards the building of the tabernacle and the ark of covenant (Ex..35:5). Favour catapults a man from the place of nothingness to the place of honor, dignity and praise.
